About this position

We are seeking an experienced Qlik developer who needs to meet the end-to-end business analysis and reporting requirements using the BI tools. Developer will functionally report to the Analytics & Business Transformation Manager and need to create Qlik Cloud dashboards as required for monitoring of accurate business performance. Qlik developer designs and develops strategies to assist business users in quickly finding the information they need to make better business decisions. Extremely data-savvy, he/she will use BI tools or develop custom BI analytic applications to facilitate the end-users’ understanding of their systems.

Need to engage with multiple business functions mainly Product Line Management, Sales, Engineering and Operations.

Job responsibilities

• Work on all phases of the analytics / reporting projects

  • project definition with business stakeholders

  • business rule definition and data sources identification

  • data modeling

  • Qlik user interface

  • specific features such as write back, reporting, alerting, automation

• Perform detailed analysis of source systems / data and developing data models.

• Write complex yet efficient SQL queries and stored procedures.

• Developing, testing, debugging Qlik Cloud applications.

• Work with cross functional teams globally; gather and translate business requirements appropriately to build the required BI dashboards.

• Management and maintenance of all Qlik Cloud applications including enhancements as required

• Need to develop Qlik Cloud applications independently and assist other data analysts in the team to meet various business requirements.

• Liaison between functional business users and IT teams as required.

• Act as SME (subject matter expert) and support business users on their queries.

           

Basic qualifications

• Qualified Bachelor in Engineering (any stream).

• 3 to 6 years of experience in Qlik development roles.

• Hands on experience in Qlik Cloud / Sense BI tool is mandatory including data load, working with variables, and front-end dashboard development

• Ability to independently reason through and solve technical challenges without sacrificing business goals

• Qlik certifications desirable

• Experience in other BI tools desirable – Power BI, Tableau etc.

• Competency in writing complicated SQL queries.

• Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to effectively and professionally communicate at all levels (internally and externally).
