Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Engineer (QS – BOQ, Estimation & Tendering)Location: ChennaiExperience: 3–8 YearsQualification: B.E / B.Tech in Civil EngineeringJob Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Engineer responsible for BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and tendering processes. The candidate will play a key role in project cost control and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:1. BOQ & Estimation

• Prepare detailed BOQs based on drawings and specifications
• Quantity take-off and cost estimation for civil works
• Analyze project requirements and prepare accurate cost budgets

2. Tendering

• Prepare and review tender documents
• Float RFQs and coordinate with vendors/subcontractors
• Evaluate quotations and prepare comparative statements
• Participate in bid submissions and negotiations

3. Cost Control

• Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Track variations and prepare variation statements
• Ensure project stays within budget

4. Billing & Documentation

• Prepare client and subcontractor bills
• Verify measurements and work progress
• Maintain proper documentation for contracts and billing

5. Coordination

• Work closely with project, procurement, and site teams
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and vendors
• Required Skills:Strong knowledge of BOQ, estimation, and tendering
• Good understanding of civil drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (preferred)
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Good communication and coordination abilities
• Preferred Industry:Construction / Real Estate / Infrastructure
