Job Summary
The Sales Executive is responsible for assisting customers in the showroom, understanding their requirements, and driving sales of furniture products such as sofas, beds, dining sets, and home décor. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Handling & Sales
- Greet and assist walk-in customers in the showroom
- Understand customer requirements and suggest suitable furniture products
- Explain product features, materials, pricing, and offers
- Close sales and achieve monthly targets
2. Product Knowledge
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all furniture products (sofas, beds, wardrobes, dining sets, etc.)
- Stay updated on new arrivals, designs, and ongoing offers
3. Showroom Maintenance
- Ensure proper display and arrangement of furniture
- Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of the showroom
- Coordinate for product tagging and pricing accuracy
4. Billing & Documentation
- Assist customers with billing process
- Prepare invoices and maintain sales records
- Coordinate with accounts team if required
5. Customer Follow-up
- Follow up with potential customers for pending enquiries
- Maintain customer database and relationships
- Handle customer queries and complaints professionally
6. Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse and delivery team for order dispatch
- Ensure timely delivery and installation of products
- Key Skills RequiredStrong communication and interpersonal skills
- Sales and negotiation skills
- Basic computer knowledge (billing software, MS Excel)
- Customer-focused approach
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment
- QualificationsMinimum: 12th pass / Any graduate
- Experience: 1–3 years in retail sales (furniture or home décor preferred)
- KPI / TargetsMonthly sales target achievement
- Conversion ratio (walk-ins to sales)
- Customer satisfaction
- Repeat business and referrals
- Working ConditionsShowroom-based role
- Rotational week off
