Scrub Nurse - Ortho OT

Ø Ensure working condition of OT equipment like anesthesia machine, ventilator equipment, C – ARM, Microscope, OT Light, Patient warmer, Fumigation

Ø Maintenance of operation theatre records

Ø Conduct regular physical verification of all the OT equipment

Ø Ensure that a proper and regular supply of oxygen and suction is maintained all the time

Ø Responsible for fumigation of OT’s and their documentation

Ø Ensure working Condition of centralized oxygen piping

Ø Maintenance of OT temperature and humidity as per the protocols

Ø Scavenging system for removal of anesthetic gases

Ø To verify the functioning of the anesthesia machine and breathing system

Ø Checking and confirming all instruments and medicines are in stock and loaded on the trolley for the surgery

Ø Allocating shifts for OT staffs

Ø Arranging staffs for patient transfer or shifting from stretcher to the table to Post operative ward and also to the rooms

Ø Handling the C-ARM Machines during the surgery

Ø Assisting the surgeon during the surgical procedure

Ø Patient monitoring during pre-operative and Post-operative phase

Ø Assisting the anesthesiologist in providing drugs, IV fluids, blood transfusion, and preparing drugs.

Ø Maintenance of CSSD

Ø Regular checking of CSSD records
