R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It’s the development engine for our Digital Services such as KONE 24/7 Connected Services, Office Flow and Partnership Ecosystem. Our common goal at KONE is to keep the end users safe and people flow uninterrupted. KONE moves 2 billion people every day and that means our services can really make cities better places to live.

Team Leadership & Delivery

·       Lead, mentor, and manage a team of CPQ developers and improve their competency & Performance by providing timely & Constructive feedback.

·       Plan and prioritize development tasks, ensuring on‑time and high‑quality deliverables.

·       Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and drive continuous improvement.

·       Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.

Technical Ownership

·       Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for CPQ solution architecture and development.

·       Oversee configuration, customization, integrations, and enhancements for the CPQ platform.

·       Translate business requirements into technical designs and ensure alignment with architecture principles.

·       Troubleshoot complex system issues and guide the team in root-cause analysis.

Stakeholder Collaboration

·       Work closely with Product Owners, R&D Platforms, R&D Subsystems, GI, KSC TP and Area Offering Managers.

·       Gather requirements, propose solutions, and maintain transparency across stakeholders.

·       Manage expectations by communicating progress, risks, and milestones clearly.

Process & Quality Management

·       Define and implement coding standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines.

Ensure CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and deployment processes are

·       followed.

Promote automation, performance improvements, and system scalability.

·       Minimum 10+ years of experience in Product or Project management

·       Strong knowledge of CPQ software solutions.

·       Solid understanding of Scaled Agile (SAFe) or similar Agile frameworks.

·       Proficiency in related technologies such as CRM systems, APIs/integrations, scripting, SQL, and workflow automation.

·       Sound understanding of pricing models, quoting workflows, product configuration rules, BOM, and approval processes.

Experience in data analytics is an advantage.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (EEE/MECH/ECE/E&I/CSE/IT) / MCA / MSC Computer science
  • Strong facilitation, coordination, risk management, and stakeholder alignment capabilities.
  • Strong communication, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to coach and upskill team members.
  • Ownership mindset with a strong focus on delivery excellence.

Willingness to explore new technologies and contribute to architectural decisions.
