Senior Restaurant Service Manager

Job Title: Restaurant Service Captain/Manager – Indian Restaurant (Singapore)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Service Captain to lead services and manage at our Indian restaurant in Singapore. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth service delivery, supervise, deliver waitstaff, and provide guests with an authentic and memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

∙ Supervise and coordinate restaurant servers during service hours

∙ Greet, seat, and assist guests with menu recommendations, including Indian cuisine and beverage pairings

∙ Ensure orders are taken accurately and served promptly

∙ Train and mentor junior service staff on SOPs, hygiene, and grooming standards

∙ Handle guest complaints and special requests professionally

∙ Monitor table turnover, cleanliness, and ambiance

∙ Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely food delivery

∙ Manage billing, cash handling, and POS operations

∙ Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (NEA/SFA standards)

∙ Assist in inventory checks for service items (cutlery, linen, glassware)

Requirements:

∙ Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience as a Service Captain or Senior Waiter/Waitress, preferably in an Indian well known brand or known fine-dining restaurant brand, well known chain of restaurants 

∙ Good knowledge of Indian cuisine, etiquette, and service styles

∙ Strong communication skills in English/Tamil/other Indian languages a plus

∙ Pleasant personality, well-groomed, and customer-service oriented

∙ Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays

∙ Valid Work Permit/S Pass /EP eligibility for Singapore (or willingness to apply)
