Senior Software Engineer (Java, spring boot, Docker,CI/CD)

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Write scalable, maintainable, and high‑quality code for flexible, user‑friendly applications.
• Design and develop highly available, low‑latency, cloud‑native applications using microservices, event-driven, and API-first architectures.
• Engineer applications to process large volumes of data with focus on performance optimization, scalability, concurrency, and parallel processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership (mentoring, design reviews, enforcing best practices).
• Integrate and consume RESTful APIs, event streaming platforms (e.g., Apache Kafka), and third‑party services.
• Deploy and manage production systems using Docker and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or equivalent).
• Participate in the full SDLC: requirements analysis, architecture, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and support.
• Ensure application quality via unit, integration, performance testing, and secure/scalable design principles.
• Maintain awareness of vulnerabilities and apply secure coding standards.
• Build observability (logging, metrics, distributed tracing) with tools like Datadog or Coralogix.
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and architectural best practices.
• Communicate effectively in English with engineering teams, product partners, and stakeholders.

 

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and cloud‑native microservices.
• Experience with Python/FastAPI for automation, APIs, and data-driven services (nice to have).
• Deep knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL), including writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience with event streaming platforms (Apache Kafka or equivalent).
• Expertise in containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (Azure or equivalent).
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and secure coding practices.
• Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Coralogix, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
• Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, concurrency, and parallel processing.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
