Site Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Civil Site Engineer to oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of our residential building construction project. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with contractors, ensuring quality construction, monitoring progress, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely and as per approved drawings.

• Key Responsibilities Supervise daily site construction activities.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure construction work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Plan, monitor, and track project progress to meet deadlines.
• Check reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
• Verify measurements and certify contractor bills.
• Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
• Ensure timely procurement of construction materials.
• Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and site documentation.
• Conduct quality inspections and rectify construction defects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and site discipline.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates to the owner.
• Coordinate electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other service installations.
• Identify delays or issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor labour productivity and contractor performance.
• Ensure the project is completed within the approved budget and timeline.

Qualification

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• 3–8 years of experience in residential building construction.
• Experience in independent villas or luxury residential projects is preferred.

Required Skills

• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of construction sequencing and site execution.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
• Experience in quantity estimation and measurement.
• Familiarity with MS Excel, AutoCAD, and project documentation.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures.
• Understanding of safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Candidate

• Experience handling projects from foundation to handover.
• Ability to independently manage contractors and labour.
• Good negotiation and coordination skills.
• Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented.
• Willing to work full-time at the project site.
