Mid-Level Engineer – Angular & Java Full stack

About the job 

You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. Roles and responsibilities include enterprise application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. We’re looking for Java Engineers including those with experience in Angula & Java Full Stack. If you have a passion for building top-notch, scalable products and have Java experience, we’re looking for you to join us in our Chennai Technology Hub!  

Responsibilities  

Frontend Development 

• Design and develop responsive, reusable, and maintainable UI components using Angular (v12+/16+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS.  
• Build modern user interfaces aligned with business requirements and UX standards.  
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.  
• Implement form validations, routing, guards, reusable components, and modular UI architecture.  
• Manage component communication and reactive programming using RxJS.  
• Work with UI libraries such as Angular Material, PrimeNG, AG Grid, or Syncfusion.  
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design across desktop/tablet/mobile devices.  
• Optimize frontend performance using lazy loading, code splitting, bundle optimization, and caching techniques.  
• Write unit test cases using Jasmine and Karma.  

Backend Development 

• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.  
• Implement controller, service, repository layers following layered architecture best practices.  
• Work with Spring Data JPA / Hibernate for database integration.  
• Develop CRUD operations, business validations, and transaction handling.  
• Integrate with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.  
• Troubleshoot backend issues and optimize API response times.  
• Follow secure coding practices for authentication and authorization.  

Delivery & Ownership 

• Independently own assigned user stories, defects, enhancements, and small-to-medium modules.  
• Analyze requirements and convert them into technical implementation tasks.  
• Participate in estimation, sprint planning, and daily standup.  
• Collaborate with QA, BA, UI/UX, and DevOps teams for successful delivery.  
• Raise technical blockers early and seek guidance from senior developers for complex implementations.  
• Support production issues, bug fixes, and release activities.  
• Maintain technical documentation for developed features.  

Code Quality / Engineering Practices 

• Follow coding standards, Git branching strategy, and peer review processes.  
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code.  
• Participate in code reviews and implement feedback.  
• Use CI/CD pipelines for automated build and deployment processes.  
• Ensure adequate unit/integration test coverage.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline. 
• 2-4 years of professional experience in full stack application development. 
• Strong hands-on experience in Angular, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and relational databases. 
• Good understanding of frontend architecture, reusable component development, and backend layered design patterns. 
• Experience in independently delivering assigned modules, enhancements, and defect fixes across UI and backend layers. 
• Familiarity with Microservices concepts, API integrations, and asynchronous communication patterns. 
• Good understanding of secure coding practices, performance optimization, and maintainable code principles. 
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and CI/CD development workflows. 
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Git. 
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills. 
• Ability to work independently on development tasks while collaborating with senior engineers for complex design decisions. 
• Experience in AI assisted analysis and AI driven development 

Nice to have 

• Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWA) using Angular 
• Knowledge of GraphQL integration with Angular 
• Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD) for UI collaboration 
• Experience with internationalization (i18n) and localization in Angular
