Mid Level Engineer – Python & PL/SQL Developer

You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. Roles and responsibilities include enterprise application development while providing expertise across the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. 

We are looking for a strong Python Developer with solid PL/SQL expertise to join our engineering team. If you have a passion for building scalable, high-performance products and hands-on experience in both Python and database programming, we’re looking for you to join us in our Chennai Technology Hub! 

Responsibilities  

• Write complex, scalable, and efficient Python code for enterprise-grade applications 
• Design and develop high-performance backend systems with strong database integration 
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data processing and performance tuning 
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL objects including packages, procedures, and functions 
• Improve application responsiveness and overall system performance 
• Perform analysis and development tasks of increasing complexity requiring research and problem-solving 
• Evaluate and leverage technologies including Python frameworks, libraries, and database tools 
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices 
• Develop application code along with unit and integration test cases 
• Collaborate with Agile cross-functional teams 
• Work with version control and CI/CD tools (GIT, Jenkins/Bamboo 
• Integrate AI into platforms and drives AI assisted modelling/optimization 

Qualifications

About you 

A person, who is passionate about coding, displays a willingness to learn, the ability to adapt to the changing needs, and is autonomous. Have excellent analytical, problem-solving & communication skills. Has the ability to thrive in a team environment and work with multiple stakeholders to build top-notch applications.  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field 
• 3+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on Python programming 
• Solid understanding of OOPS concepts and design principles 
• Proven ability to write efficient, scalable, and performance-oriented Python code 
• Strong expertise in SQL and PL/SQL 
• Hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries, query optimization, and performance tuning 
• Experience in developing PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and database objects 
• Good understanding of database design, indexing, and data modelling concepts 
• Experience with tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Confluence, etc. 
• Experience in Agile development practices and DevOps 
• Experience in data transformation or large-scale data processing projects is a plus 
• Experience in AI assisted analysis and AI driven development
