R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It’s the development engine for our Digital Services such as KONE 24/7 Connected Services, Office Flow and Partnership Ecosystem. Our common goal at KONE is to keep the end user’s safe and people flow uninterrupted. KONE moves 2 billion people every day and that means our services can really make cities better places to live
Why this role?
The BIM Specialist role is required to provide technical expertise in BIM modelling, coordination, standards, and digital delivery. This position ensures that BIM processes are implemented consistently across projects, improving quality, efficiency, and collaboration while supporting organizational BIM and digital transformation objectives and additionally looking for BIM automation and AI driven solutions according to industry standards.
What will you be doing?
• Create, maintain, and update high-quality BIM models using Revit and other BIM tools.
• Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project requirements, BIM standards, and Level of Development (LOD) specifications.
• Manage BIM data, parameters, and asset information, including COBie requirements when applicable.
• Perform model quality audits and ensure adherence to BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and company standards.
• Support BIM coordination meetings and collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve design issues.
• Develop and maintain BIM templates, families, libraries, and best practices.
• Implement BIM automation solutions using tools such as Dynamo, Revit API, and scripting technologies.
• Support Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to BIM modelers and project teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in BIM processes, standards, and digital delivery practices.
Required Skills:
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Creo
• Strong experience in 3D BIM modelling and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of BIM standards, workflows, and Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
• Experience in model coordination and clash detection.
• Ability to create and manage Revit families, templates, and shared parameters.
• Experience generating drawings, schedules, and project deliverables from BIM models.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 collaboration workflows.
• Familiarity with COBie and asset information management requirements.
• Basic understanding of Dynamo and BIM automation tools.
Preferred Skills:
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360 experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650, LOD requirements, and BIM standards.
• Understanding of COBie and asset information management.
• Experience with Dynamo, Revit API, and BIM automation workflows.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, and data-driven reporting.
• Knowledge of construction and digital delivery processes.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
