Senior Engineer - Steering and Wheel End Design

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Wheels & tyres design calulations.
2. Design calculations for steel and alloy wheel rim durbaility & impact testing.
3. Basic awareness about tyre functioning and performance parameters analysis.
4. Awareness about global regulatory requirements for rim & tyres.
5. Ability to understand the tyre construction matrix.
6. Fasteners calculations.
7. Benchmarking and system target cascading
8. DVP and DFMEA preparation
9. Co-ordination with CAE groups for design optimization and co-relation process.
10. Supplier/inhouse drawing approval
11. Technical & Manufacturing feasibility closure with supplier
12. Interfacing with material management team for development of parts
13. Rig testing DVP development to establish durability confidence
14. Development & Field concern root cause analysis and resolution.
15. Working for cost & weight reduction programs 
16. Tolerance stack preparation
17. Keep track of latest technology in domain area and technology development to align future requirement
