Job Description
Swan Electric Contracts Company Pvt Ltd, an A-Grade electrical contractor established in 1958, is hiring a Storekeeper for its project site in Chennai.
Responsibilities:
- Raise material indents.
- Receive stock against Delivery Challan and verify make, size and rating against the approved makes list. Prepare Material Inspection Reports with Test Certificates for every delivery.
- Prepare outward and returnable Delivery Challans.
- Read BOQ specifications to confirm delivered material matches specification. Issue material daily to electricians and engineers against signed slips.
- Maintain the daily stock register and a separate tools and machines register.
- Submit bi-weekly stock reports. Control gate passes.
- Maintain the Work Permit register for all site works.
- Keep the store orderly and account for scrap and empty drums.
Materials: Conduits, Cable Trays, Ladders, Wires, Cables, Clamps and other accessories, tools and machines.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 to 3 years in site stores with an electrical or MEP contractor. Working knowledge of electrical materials by make, size and rating. Strong English reading and writing, as the role involves preparing inspection reports and challans. Sound Excel and stock register skills. Comfortable with smartphone apps such as Powerplay.
Salary: As per Industry Standards
Location: Chennai or Outstation Projects
