Job Description
The Insurance Team Leader is responsible for leading, managing, and supporting a team of insurance agents, advisors, or service representatives to ensure performance targets are met. This role involves monitoring team performance, providing coaching, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving customer satisfaction or business growth.
- Key Responsibilities: Team Management & Leadership Supervise daily activities of the insurance team to ensure productivity and quality.
- Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
- Motivate the team to achieve KPIs such as sales targets, claims turnaround time, or customer satisfaction scores.
- Operations & Strategy Monitor and manage workflow to ensure timely processing of policies, claims, or customer requests.
- Assist in developing and implementing business strategies to drive growth.
- Analyze data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Training & Development Identify training needs and organize relevant workshops or training programs.
- Onboard and mentor new team members to align with company processes and values.
- Promote continuous learning and development within the team.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure all processes comply with insurance laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits or reviews to maintain quality standards.
- Handle escalated client complaints or complex cases.
- Client and Stakeholder InteractionFoster strong relationships with clients, agents, brokers, and internal departments.
- Represent the team in departmental meetings and communicate updates effectively.
- Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in [Life/Health/General] insurance is preferred.
