Technical Customer Support Professional

Are you a highly skilled technical professional ready to bridge the gap between complex software solutions and seamless operations? As a TechOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful implementation and deployment of Application solutions on hosted and on-premise customer servers. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will provide critical technical expertise, troubleshooting assistance, and vital user support during the deployment process.

What Makes This Role Great:

In this role, you will have a massive impact by owning the success of infrastructure deployments and system rollouts for our global clients. You will blend cloud-based platform orchestration with hands-on systems engineering, giving you full technical autonomy across diverse server environments. You will interface directly with stakeholders, product teams, and end-users, quickly becoming the ultimate product expert while driving automation and optimization strategies across our deployment pipeline.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Deployment Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to plan deployment activities. Develop deployment strategies, timelines, and resource requirements while coordinating across groups to ensure smooth execution.

  • Technical Architecture & Guidance: Understand the technical deep-dive aspects of deployed systems or software. Provide ongoing guidance and support to teams involved in the deployment process while identifying technical risks and proposing workarounds.

  • User Support & Training: Assist end-users in understanding and utilizing the deployed software. Provide training sessions to familiarize users with new functionalities, address user queries, and provide timely, high-quality resolutions.

  • Documentation & Progress Tracking: Create and maintain comprehensive deployment documentation, including procedures, user guides, and troubleshooting resources. Prepare deployment progress reports and track issues for future reference.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize the deployment process and enhance efficiency. Propose and implement process improvements, automation workflows, or tools to systematically streamline deployments.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Education & Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, combined with proven experience in deployment support, software implementation, or a similar role.

  • Cloud Platform Mastery: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or similar providers, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and deployment models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

  • Systems Administration & Networking: Proficient in system administration tasks (server provisioning, configuration management, and troubleshooting) and networking concepts (IP addressing, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls). Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V, or KVM.

  • Cloud Security Infrastructure: Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security groups, and data protection.

  • Professional Competence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, active listening capabilities, a highly organized and self-directed approach to problem-solving, and the ability to maintain absolute professionalism, discretion, and accuracy.

Bonus Points For:

  • Automation Capabilities: High proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation scripting and system integration.

  • Cross-Functional Domain Knowledge: Foundational understanding of Business Accounting (analyzing financial statements, invoice processing in accounts payable/receivable) and basics of Payroll Management.

  • Product Knowledge: Ability to quickly develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of Viewpoint software products and remain an expert from both an internal and user perspective.
