JD - Shift Engineer – Machine Maintenance

Location: Hosur, Bangalore

Job Summary

We are looking for experienced Shift Engineers – Machine Maintenance to support

production operations in a high-volume automotive/manufacturing environment. The

candidate will be responsible for handling breakdown maintenance, preventive

maintenance, and predictive maintenance activities across production machinery and

utility equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and

automation systems, along with hands-on experience in conveyors, robotic systems,

hydraulic equipment, PLCs, and VFDs.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out breakdown maintenance activities with minimum production

downtime

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of conveyors, EMS conveyors,

Motrain systems, hydraulic presses, electric hoists, robotic systems, and related

machinery

• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems (Allen Bradley / Siemens), VFDs,

electro-pneumatic systems, and marking machines

• Diagnose faults in motors, control panels, sensors, relays, and automation

systems

• Monitor machine health and ensure equipment reliability through regular

inspections

• Coordinate with production teams during machine stoppages and maintenance

schedules

• Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and shift handover reports

• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and maintenance standards

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve machine efficiency and

reduce breakdown frequency

Eligibility Criteria

• Diploma (Electrical) / BE (EEE) / B.Tech (Electrical)

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in machine maintenance within

automotive/manufacturing industries

• Hands-on experience in PLCs, VFDs, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and robotic

equipment preferred

• Candidates willing to work in rotational shifts will be preferred
