Assembly Technician

Job Summary:

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling forklifts and related components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures. The role involves mechanical assembly, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure products meet company specifications.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble forklift components, subassemblies, and complete units as per production schedules.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Install mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic components.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
• Perform functional testing and quality inspections of assembled forklifts.
• Identify and report defects, non-conformities, and production issues.
• Troubleshoot and rectify assembly-related problems.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S practices.
• Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Required QualificationsITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing operations (forklift, automotive, construction equipment, or heavy machinery preferred).
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• Familiarity with quality inspection tools and techniques.
