Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, market expansion, distributor development, and retail execution within the assigned territory. This role involves leading the Sales Executive team, improving market penetration, ensuring effective distributor management, and achieving business targets through strong field execution and team leadership.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of sales growth, market development, and business performance within the assigned territory.
- Lead, train, monitor, and motivate the Sales Executive team to achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
- Expand distributor and retail network while improving market penetration and outlet productivity.
- Ensure effective implementation of Permanent Journey Plans (PJP) and maximum market coverage.
- Drive secondary sales growth, product availability, visibility, and retail execution across the territory.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key market stakeholders to strengthen business growth.
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, and stock movement to improve business decisions.
- Ensure timely resolution of distributor and retailer issues while maintaining high service standards.
- Monitor team discipline, productivity, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency within the assigned area.
- Ensure achievement of business targets while controlling sales expenses and improving territory profitability.
