Job Description
Bay Loader (or Loading Bay Operator) is responsible for efficiently loading, unloading, and organizing goods in warehouse shipping bays, ensuring accurate inventory placement in vehicles. They maintain safety standards, verify shipment documents, and often operate forklifts or pallet jacks, acting as a crucial link in supply chain logistics.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Loading & Unloading: Safely moving goods and pallets between storage areas and transport vehicles.
- Inventory Verification: Scanning item tags, checking, and matching products against shipping manifests.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, including securing cargo to prevent damage, operating equipment carefully, and wearing PPE.
- Bay Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized loading bay area.
- Equipment Operation: Utilizing forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
