As a Database Administrator, a typical day involves designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. The role includes installing database management systems and developing procedures that support daily maintenance activities and efficient problem resolution. This position requires continuous monitoring and fine-tuning of databases to meet organizational needs, while also preparing for future scalability and security considerations. Collaboration with various teams to align database operations with business objectives is an integral part of the daily routine, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted data access and management.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices in database management to enhance system efficiency.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure database security and compliance with organizational policies.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and improve team capabilities.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in MongoDB.
- Experience in database design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of database installation and configuration processes.
- Ability to develop and document procedures for routine database maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization techniques for database systems.
- Understanding of backup, recovery, and data security practices.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in MongoDB.
- This position is based at our Coimbatore office.
