Graduate Engineer Trainee

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Electronic Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment and systems. You will be the technical backbone of our service operations — ensuring all electronic systems function at peak performance, minimizing downtime, and delivering exceptional technical support to clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

Install, configure, and commission electronic equipment, systems, and components at client sites or in-house

Perform pre-installation site surveys and assess technical requirements

Set up and test electronic control panels, PCBs, circuits, and embedded systems

Ensure all installations comply with safety standards and technical specifications

Document installation procedures, configurations, and test reports

Maintenance & Servicing

Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) on electronic systems and equipment

Inspect, clean, calibrate, and test electronic components regularly

Maintain detailed service logs, maintenance records, and equipment history

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules

Ensure all equipment operates within manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines

Troubleshooting & Repair

Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electronic circuits, PCBs, control systems, and embedded devices

Use diagnostic tools — oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and signal generators — to identify issues

Repair or replace faulty components, boards, and modules

Analyze root causes of recurring faults and implement permanent corrective actions

Handle both hardware and firmware-level issues in electronic systems

Field Service & Client Support

Visit client sites to provide on-site technical support and service

Respond promptly to service calls and resolve issues within agreed SLA timelines

Train client staff on equipment operation, basic maintenance, and safety procedures

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through professional service

Prepare detailed field service reports after every client visit

Quality & Compliance

Ensure all service activities comply with industry standards — IEC, ISO, and local regulations

Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety protocols while handling sensitive components

Adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines on-site and in the workshop

Conduct quality checks on repaired equipment before delivery or handover

Maintain compliance with warranty terms and service agreements

Technical Documentation

Prepare and maintain technical manuals, service bulletins, and repair reports

Update equipment service records and maintenance logs in the system

Document troubleshooting procedures and create knowledge base articles

Prepare spare parts consumption reports and recommend stock replenishment

Team Collaboration & Support

Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and sales teams for technical support

Assist junior technicians and provide on-the-job technical guidance

Participate in product training sessions and technical workshops

Provide technical feedback to R&D or product teams on field issues
