Receptionist
About the CompanyWe are a trusted veterinary hospital in Coimbatore, dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare for pets. Location: Sathy Main Road,Sivanandhapuram, Saravanampatti, Coimbatore – 641035
Position: Receptionist (Male)
Salary: ₹17,000 – ₹18,000 per month
Working Days: 26 Days / Month
Weekly Off: One day per week (based on the receptionist schedule)
Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Experience
- Freshers can apply.
- Experience in Reception, Billing, Customer Service, Retail Sales, Hospital Front Office, or Billing will be an added advantage.
Languages Required
- Tamil – Mandatory
- English – Mandatory
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and customer focused Receptionist to manage the hospital's front desk operations. The ideal candidate should possess good communication skills, be comfortable interacting with pet parents, and efficiently handle appointments, billing, stock records, and day-to-day reception activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist pet owners visiting the hospital.
- Handle patient registration and appointment scheduling.
- Coordinate with doctors and support staff for smooth patient flow.
- Generate bills for consultations, treatments, surgeries, pet products, grooming, boarding, and other hospital services.
- Collect payments and maintain billing records.
- Explain hospital services, pet care products, and wellness packages to customers.
- Build good rapport with customers and support basic sales activities.
- Maintain stock records for medicines, pet food, accessories, and other products.
- Coordinate with the inventory team regarding stock availability
- Handle customer enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, and walk-ins.
- Maintain accurate patient and billing records.
- Ensure the reception area is organized and welcoming.
- Assist with other administrative duties assigned by the management.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good customer handling and relationship building skills.
- Basic sales and upselling ability.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, billing software, email).
- Good organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced hospital environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail in billing and stock maintenance.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Male candidates preferred.
- Experience in sales, billing, reception, retail, hospitals, clinics, pet stores, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Four wheeler Driving Licence is mandatory.
- Ability to ride/drive when required for official work.
- Passion for animals and a compassionate approach towards pet owners.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
