Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Garment Construction: Construct garments from scratch based on design sketches, patterns, or client specifications.
- Measuring & Fitting: Take accurate body measurements and perform fittings to ensure garments meet the client's fit and comfort requirements.
- Alterations & Repairs: Perform high-quality alterations (hemming, tapering, resizing) and repairs (replacing zippers, buttons, or fixing seams) on various types of fabrics.
- Customer Consultation: Advise clients on fabric selection, style adjustments, and design possibilities based on their body type and preferences.
- Fabric Management: Inspect fabrics for flaws, organize inventory, and ensure efficient use of materials during the cutting process.
- Quality Control: Ensure all finished garments are clean, properly pressed, and free of loose threads or chalk marks before delivery.
- Maintenance: Keep sewing machines and other equipment in good working order and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
