Warehouse Supervisor

1. Team Leadership & Staff Management

• Supervising Staff: Oversee daily floor activities, delegate tasks, and set shift schedules to ensure productivity goals are met.
• Training & Development: Onboard new hires, conduct safety training, and provide ongoing performance evaluations.
• Conflict Resolution: Address staff grievances, motivate team members, and enforce company policies.

2. Inventory Control & Storage

• Stock Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and spot-checks.
• Discrepancy Investigation: Identify the root cause of missing, damaged, or misplaced stock and implement countermeasures.
• Space Optimization: Organize storage layouts and ensure high-demand items are optimally placed to minimize handling time. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

3. Shipping & Receiving Operations

• Inbound Management: Verify the accuracy of incoming deliveries (quantities, quality, and bills) and route stock to designated storage areas.
• Order Fulfillment: Coordinate picking, packing, and dispatching to ensure customer orders are delivered on time.
• System Updates: Log all stock movements in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8]

4. Safety & Compliance

• Safety Protocols: Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

5. Reporting & Performance Tracking

• KPI Monitoring: Track metrics such as pick accuracy, order turnaround time, and dispatch timeliness.
