Area Sales Manager

Role Overview:

We are looking for result-driven Area Sales Manager responsible for team management, driving sales, distribution expansion, and market execution across assigned territories like Varanasi/Gorakhpur/Allahabad/Kanpur/Bareilly/Meerut/Moradabad etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive primary & secondary sales in the assigned territory

Appoint and manage distributors / sub-distributors

Ensure numeric & weighted distribution expansion

Achieve monthly sales targets & collection efficiency

Execute market visits covering retailers and wholesalers

Monitor stock availability, merchandising, and visibility

Implement trade schemes & promotional activities

Build strong relationships with retailers, distributors & key accounts

Track competitor activities and provide market intelligence

Ensure proper reporting (daily sales, beat plan, stock reports)

Territory Scope:

Coverage up to Tehsil / Block level markets

Strong focus on rural + semi-urban penetration

Candidate Profile:

Experience:

Minimum 5-10 years in FMCG sales (General Trade mandatory)

Experience in categories like:

Spices / Dry Fruits

Packaged Foods

Namkeen / Snacks / Tea / Tobacco / Local brands

Skills Required:

Strong distribution handling & market expansion skills

Good knowledge of retail ecosystem & GT channel

Ability to manage beat planning & field execution

Target-driven with strong negotiation & communication skills

Basic understanding of MS Excel / reporting tools

Education:

Graduate (preferred)

MBA (Sales/Marketing) – added advantage
