Job Description
- Design & Planning: Conduct wireless site surveys (predictive, passive, and active) using tools like Ekahau or AirMagnet to determine AP placement and ensure optimal coverage.
- Implementation: Install, configure, and maintain wireless access points, controllers, and related hardware.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex Wi-Fi issues, including connectivity drops, low signal strength, and authentication failures (802.1x).
- Network Optimization: Analyze radio frequency (RF) spectrum data, manage channel assignments, and reduce interference to improve performance.
- Security Management: Configure and secure wireless networks using protocols like WPA2/WPA3, PEAP, and EAP-TLS, often integrating with RADIUS servers (e.g., Cisco ISE).
