Sales Officer (SO) – Job Description Company: Irvaan Dry fruits and Spices
Industry: FMCG – Spices / Dry Fruits / Packaged Foods
Location: Uttarakhand
Experience Required: Minimum 3–6 Years
Position OverviewWe are looking for energetic and result-oriented Sales Officers (SO) to strengthen our General Trade distribution network across Uttar Pradesh East. The candidate will be responsible for distributor handling, retail expansion, secondary sales growth, and market development in assigned territories.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Market Expansion· Achieve monthly primary and secondary sales targets.
· Increase product availability and visibility in retail outlets.
· Expand market reach up to Tehsil / Block level.
· Develop new retail counters and strengthen existing markets.
· Ensure proper execution of company schemes and promotional activities.
Distributor Handling· Manage distributors and maintain healthy business relationships.
· Ensure regular billing, stock rotation, and market coverage.
· Monitor distributor performance and improve secondary sales.
· Coordinate with distributors for timely product supply and collections.
Retail & Field Operations· Conduct regular market visits with distributor salesmen.
· Cover wholesale markets, kirana stores, and local trade channels.
· Ensure proper merchandising and visibility at retail outlets.
· Collect market feedback and competitor activity updates.
Team Coordination· Coordinate with Area Sales Manager (ASM) for target achievement.
· Support field executives and distributor teams in market execution.
· Maintain daily reporting and territory sales tracking.
Preferred Candidate BackgroundCandidates having experience in the following industries will be preferred:
· Spices Brands
· Dry Fruits & Premium Food Products
· Packaged FMCG Products
· Tea / Pan Masala / Cigarette Industry
· Regional Namkeen / Local Food Brands
Required Skills & Experience✔ Experience in FMCG General Trade sales
✔ Strong distributor and retailer network in local markets
✔ Good communication and negotiation skills
✔ Ability to develop new markets and retail counters
✔ Knowledge of secondary sales and market execution
✔ Strong field working capability and target orientation
✔ Basic reporting and sales planning understanding
Qualification· Graduate in any stream preferred
· Candidate must own a two-wheeler and valid driving license
