Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SMT Operator to join our production team. The SMT Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining SMT equipment used in the assembly of electronic components on printed circuit boards (PCBs). The ideal candidate should have experience with electronic manufacturing processes and ensure quality standards are maintained throughout production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate SMT machines, including pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens.
- Load feeders and components according to production requirements.
- Perform machine programming, setup changes, and basic troubleshooting.
- Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and efficiency.
- Conduct first article inspections and verify component placement accuracy.
- Inspect PCBs for defects and report any issues to supervisors.
- Replace components and materials as needed during production runs.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine cleaning of SMT equipment.
- Maintain production records and complete required documentation.
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Work closely with quality and engineering teams to resolve production issues.
