Shift: 8-Hour Rotational Shift

Reporting To: Maintenance Supervisor / Facility Manager

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Generator Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain Diesel Generator (DG) sets to ensure uninterrupted power supply. The candidate will be responsible for routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and maintaining operational records while adhering to company safety standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor DG sets and associated equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections of fuel levels, engine oil, coolant, batteries, and generator performance.
• Record operational parameters and maintain logbooks.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing activities.
• Identify and troubleshoot generator-related mechanical issues.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams and vendors for major repairs.
• Ensure proper fuel management and inventory monitoring.
• Respond promptly during power failures and emergency situations.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the generator room and equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Mandatory QualificationsITI (Mechanical), Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
• Candidates from non-mechanical disciplines will not be considered.
• Experience1–3 years of experience in generator operation and maintenance preferred.
• Freshers with the required Mechanical qualification may also apply.
• Required SkillsKnowledge of diesel engine operation and DG set maintenance.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to maintain operational records and reports.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage emergency situations.
