Job Description
Job Description: PGT Mathematics (CBSE & Cambridge Curriculum)Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated PGT Mathematics Teacher who can effectively teach senior-grade students, including those enrolled under the Cambridge (IGCSE/Lower Secondary/AS & A Levels) curriculum. The ideal candidate must possess strong subject expertise, experience in modern teaching methodologies, and the ability to support diverse learners.
- Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Classroom DeliveryTeach Mathematics to Grades 9–12 as per CBSE and/or Cambridge curriculum requirements.
- Conduct concept-based, activity-driven, and inquiry-oriented lessons.
- Use differentiated instructional strategies to support various learning styles.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and teaching aids aligned with Cambridge standards.
- 2. Cambridge Curriculum ResponsibilitiesTeach Cambridge Mathematics content (Lower Secondary / IGCSE / AS & A Level depending on requirement).
- Prepare students for Cambridge assessments, internal examinations, and checkpoint tests.
- Maintain familiarity with Cambridge pedagogy, marking schemes, and assessment styles.
- Ensure accurate documentation, assessment records, and student progress reports as per Cambridge guidelines.
- 3. Assessment & EvaluationPrepare question papers, assignments, and practice materials.
- Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain fair, transparent, and continuous evaluation of student performance.
- Support students in remedial classes, doubt sessions, and enrichment programs.
- 4. Classroom Management & Student SupportMaintain a disciplined, learner-friendly, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Motivate students to develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Mentor students preparing for board exams, competitive exams, and Olympiads (optional).
- 5. Communication & CollaborationCoordinate with academic heads, curriculum planners, and other subject teachers.
- Attend departmental meetings, training programs, and professional development workshops.
- Engage with parents during PTMs and provide updates on student progress.
- Skills & QualificationsMaster’s degree (M.Sc) in Mathematics.
- B.Ed mandatory.
- Prior experience teaching senior grades (IX–XII).
- Experience teaching Cambridge curriculum preferred or mandatory depending on school needs.
- Strong command over Mathematical concepts and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication skills and classroom management abilities.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools and LMS platforms.
