Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload trucks, shipping containers, or other transport vehicles using manual labor or heavy machinery (forklift, pallet jack).
- Material Handling: Move, stack, and secure materials, reagents, or machinery in designated storage areas or onto transport vessels.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all project site safety rules, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Inventory Verification: Inspect goods for damage upon arrival and verify shipping documents (packing lists, orders) for accuracy prior to unloading.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the yard, warehouse, or container area.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of goods handled, reporting any discrepancies, shortages, or damages to the supervisor immediately.
