Overview


The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving growth, building strong relationships, and developing strategic plans to expand the institution’s reach. This role requires strong communication skills, market understanding, and the ability to convert opportunities into successful outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase admissions/enrollments and overall institutional growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, schools, and partner organizations.
  • Plan and execute marketing and outreach activities, including seminars, events, and counseling sessions.
  • Conduct market research to analyze trends, competition, and potential growth areas.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and admissions teams to develop promotional strategies.
  • Follow up with leads, manage inquiries, and ensure high conversion rates.
  • Prepare and present business proposals, reports, and performance analyses to management.
  • Support digital marketing activities, including social media campaigns, if required.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and positive representation of the institution.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any stream (advantage in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or educational counseling (preferred).
  • Ability to work under targets and achieve results.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

  • Ability to understand student and market needs.
  • Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in the education sector is an added advantage.
