Job Description:

• The Fermenter Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining fermentation equipment, ensuring that the fermentation process runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards. The operator monitors key process parameters such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), and nutrient levels, ensuring that fermentation processes yield the desired product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and supervise equipment (fermenters, centrifuge, spray dryer, microfiltration systems).
• Manage upstream and downstream processes including media preparation, sterilization, and fermentation.
• Set up equipment, monitor performance, and analyze in-process samples.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, and safe operation of equipment.
• Supervise and guide junior operators.
• Follow SOPs and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate with maintenance for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Raise raw material indents and manage work orders.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards.
• Participate in planning and scheduling activities.

Skills & Requirements:

• Knowledge of fermentation and bioprocess operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical documents.
• Willingness to work in rotating shifts.
