Position Summary:

Barry-Wehmiller is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to manage and grow the Converting Solutions Aftermarket Business in India.  This role will lead the aftermarket business operations in India and drive regional aftermarket strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regional Aftermarket Leadership:
  Develop and implement the aftermarket business strategy for India, driving growth, operational excellence, and customer-centric solutions. Oversee aftermarket Field Service and Parts Sales for the India market, ensuring exceptional service quality and customer satisfaction.

• Customer Relationship Management:
  Foster strong partnerships with customers to maximize equipment uptime, service responsiveness, and lifecycle value.

• Collaboration & Team Leadership:
  Lead cross-functional teams in India. Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, product management, and supply chain functions.

• Operational & Financial Accountability:
  Manage P&L, optimize aftermarket operations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on profitability and service excellence.

• Market Intelligence & Reporting:
  Monitor industry trends and competitive activity, providing insights and business updates to global leadership.

• Travel:
  Travel within India markets to engage with teams, customers, and partners. Possible incidental travel to Japan or with EMEA for team meetings.

 

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience managing aftermarket or service operations; field service experience is highly advantageous.

• Previous experience working in multinational, matrixed organizations is preferred.

• Experience managing teams and business operations in India.

• Strong commercial acumen with P&L responsibility.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence across cultures and organizational levels.

• Strategic thinker with a hands-on leadership style.

• Fluency in English required; Japanese language skills highly desirable.

• Ability and willingness to travel frequently within India.

• Note: Industry-specific experience in converting solutions is not required.
