PCB CAD/CAM Engineer

Position Overview

AS&R Circuits India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled PCB CAD/CAM Engineer to support PCB engineering by preparing

manufacturing-ready data, validating customer designs, and ensuring compliance with IPC standards and

manufacturing capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in PCB fabrication processes, CAM engineering,

Gerber data processing, panelization, DFM analysis, and PCB manufacturing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• CAM Engineering & Data Processing

 Analyze customer PCB design files (Gerber, ODB++, IPC-2581, and NC drill files).

 Prepare manufacturing-ready CAM data, create fabrication drawings, and perform panelization.

 Generate tooling data as well as drill and routing programs.

• Design Validation & DFM

 Perform Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analysis and Design Rule Check (DRC).

 Validate stack-ups and verify impedance requirements.

 Review solder mask, silkscreen, copper clearances, drill tolerances, and annular rings.

• Manufacturing Support & Quality

 Coordinate with the production team to resolve engineering issues on the shop floor.

 Support process improvements, optimize manufacturing yield, and reduce production errors.

• Engineering Documentation

 Maintain complete engineering documentation and generate precise work instructions.

 Update process records and enforce strict revision control.

Required Technical Skills & Software Knowledge

 Required Software: Genesis CAM (Preferred), UCAM, CAM350, Altium Designer, Allegro, Mentor Graphics,

AutoCAD, Gerber Viewer, ODB++.

 IPC Standards: IPC-600, IPC-6012, IPC-2221.

 Technical Domain: PCB Fabrication, High-Density Interconnect (HDI), Flex PCB, Rigid-Flex PCB, RF PCB, Multilayer

PCB, Stack-up Design, DFM, CAM Processing.

 Qualification & Exp.: 2–6 Years in PCB Manufacturing / CAM Engineering. Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics,

Electrical, ECE, Instrumentation, or equivalent.
