Industrial Tailor

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Garment Tailor specializing in high-quality shirt stitching to join our fast-growing apparel manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and stitching our signature premium streetwear and digitally printed Aloha shirts. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience operating industrial sewing machinery and a strong commitment to maintaining clean, durable, and precise seams.

• Key ResponsibilitiesGarment Assembly: Stitch and assemble complete shirts (including collars, plackets, cuffs, pockets, and hems) according to tech packs, measurement charts, and approved samples.
• Machine Operation: Professionally operate high-speed industrial sewing machines, specifically 5-thread overlock machines and feed-off-the-arm machines for clean, industrial-grade seam durability.
• Quality & Precision: Maintain matching alignment on digitally printed fabrics and ensure consistent stitch tension, stitch count, and clean alignment across all panels.
• Thread & Component Management: Efficiently manage daily components, utilizing standardized thread colors (such as white thread setups) to maintain efficient high-speed production lines.
• Finishing & Inspection: Perform self-inspection of stitched garments to identify and fix defects like skipped stitches, puckering, or uneven seams before passing them to the finishing department.
• Machine Maintenance: Perform basic daily maintenance of assigned machinery, including cleaning lint, oiling, and replacing broken needles safely.
• Required Skills & QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 2–4 years of experience as a sewing machine operator or tailor in an industrial garment factory, with a proven track record in woven shirt manufacturing.
• Technical Expertise: Strong expertise in handling lightweight to medium-weight fabrics like viscose rayon and polyester-rayon blends.
• Machinery Knowledge: Deep familiarity with heavy-duty industrial machinery (overlock, lockstitch, chain stitch, and feed-off-the-arm machines).
• Speed & Accuracy: Ability to meet daily production targets while maintaining the high aesthetic standards required for premium, retail-ready apparel.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent eye for symmetry, neatness, and pattern matching on vibrant digital prints.
