B A Fab and Forge Private Limited is a heavy fabrication company specializing in transformer tank fabrication, serving leading clients including Mehru, SCT, CG, and Danish Transformers. We are scaling our operations and are looking for a strong operational leader to build a disciplined, system-driven production environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our fabrication unit and drive it toward a structured, system-based manufacturing setup. This is a high-ownership role — you will manage production worth ₹1.5 Cr+ per month and a workforce of 180+ employees, with end-to-end control over planning, tracking, and execution.

The ideal candidate will bring strong process discipline to the shop floor — implementing job-card-based tracking, real-time production visibility, and tighter cost and quality control — while building on the team's existing strengths.

Key Responsibilities

1. System & Process Control

•     Implement a structured Job Card / Serial Number system so no fabrication work begins without proper authorization

•     Prevent unplanned or duplicate work through better upfront planning

•     Standardize workflows for cutting, fitment, and welding stages

2. Production Tracking & Planning

•     Set up and maintain a live production tracking system covering fit-up, welding, testing, and painting stages

•     Ensure real-time visibility into the status of all tanks in production

•     Identify and eliminate workflow bottlenecks to improve throughput

3. Production Targets

•     Drive consistent achievement of 200+ tons of monthly production

•     Continuously improve output and efficiency against current baselines

4. Manpower & Cost Management

•     Effectively manage and deploy a workforce of 180+ employees

•     Optimize manpower utilization and control overtime costs

•     Manage a monthly wage budget of approximately ₹36.60 lakh

•     Contribute directly to the unit's overall profitability

5. Quality Control

•     Enforce strict pressure and leak testing protocols before the painting stage

•     Drive a zero-rework, zero-customer-rejection standard across production

6. Client Coordination

•     Serve as the key technical point of contact for our major clients

Eligibility Criteria

•     B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

•     A minimum of 3 years of experience in transformer tank fabrication or heavy fabrication industries

•     Proven experience managing teams of 100+ personnel

•     Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, including MIG welding, IS 2062 steel, and fitment operations

•     Proficiency in Excel and production tracking systems

Compensation

•     Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience)

•     Statutory benefits as per company policy (PF, ESI)
