This is the most important hire of the drive.
About this role (and why it's make-or-break)A calling team is only as good as the person running the floor. We're scaling from 20 agents to ~100 plus an AI calling system. We need a leader who can own the sales number — build the team, set the rhythm, coach average callers into closers, and personally close the hard, high-value customers. You are part player (you can sell better than anyone on the floor) and part coach (you make everyone else better). If you've ever turned an underperforming desk into a top one, this is your seat.
The role in one line Own the sales target. Build and drive a high-performing calling floor, coach every agent to close better, and personally win the difficult and high-value customers. What you'll actually do Own the number
- Set daily/weekly targets per agent and for the team; track them live on the leader board.
- Own the team's conversion %, prepaid %, RTO %, and revenue — and report them to the founder.
- Design and run the incentive scheme that makes agents want to win.
Run the floor
- Lead a tight morning huddle: yesterday's numbers, today's targets, one thing to improve. Manage the floor through the day — energy, focus, removing blockers, keeping the team dialing.
- Reassign leads smartly (hottest leads to whoever's converting; rescue stuck ones).
Coach relentlessly
- Listen to call recordings daily; give specific, kind, useful feedback.
- Run weekly 1-on-1s; build a development plan for each agent; lift the bottom, stretch the top.
- Continuously refine the call-script and objection-handling based on what's actually working.
Close like a pro (lead by example)
- Personally handle escalated, hesitant, and high-value customers and close them.
- Show the team — on real calls — how it's done. Credibility on this floor is earned by closing.
Improve the system
- Spot what's broken (bad leads, weak scripts, a stalling step) and fix it with the founder.
- Use the data + AI tools (call-briefs, leader board, dashboards) to coach with facts, not vibes.
A typical day Review last night's leads & numbers → morning huddle → live floor management + spot-coaching → close a few escalated/high-value customers yourself → listen to recordings & give feedback → midday check-in on targets → adjust lead allocation → run a quick 1-on-1 → end-of-day numbers, recognise the top closer, set tomorrow's focus.
- What we're looking for (must-have)3–6+ years in tele-sales / inside sales, with a proven, verifiable record of hitting targets.
- Real team leadership — you've led/managed a calling team and made it perform.
- A genuine closer — you can sell, not just supervise. (We will test this live.)
- Coaching ability — you can take an average agent and visibly make them better.
- Data-driven — you read dashboards, run an incentive scheme, and manage by numbers.
- Fluent Hindi & English; high ownership; calm under pressure; honest.
- Bonus points (nice-to-have)D2C / e-commerce / health / wellness sales-floor experience.
- Experience building an incentive/commission scheme from scratch.
- Experience scaling a team (20 → 100+), or running both human + AI-assisted calling.

Growth path Sales Manager / Team Leader → Head of Sales / Sales Lead as we scale to multiple teams and the AI calling system. The person who builds our first high-performing floor is the natural leader of the whole sales org.

Tools you'll use Live performance leader board, call recordings + AI call-briefs, CRM dashboards (conversion, prepaid, RTO), 1-on-1 / coaching tooling, and direct input into the offers, scripts, and incentive scheme.
