Job Description
- Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, and reliability
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company policies
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance
- Coordinate with internal departments (production, finance, stores, etc.) to understand purchasing needs
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as required
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and legal requirements
- Handle vendor relationships and resolve any supply issues or discrepancies
- Conduct market research to stay updated on pricing trends and new suppliers
