Spray Painter

Job Summary:The Gun Painter is responsible for carrying out high-quality spray painting on motorcycle parts, metal components, frames, fuel tanks, and other automotive parts using spray guns and painting equipment. The role ensures smooth finish, color consistency, surface protection, and adherence to company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming
• Operate spray guns for primer, base coat, and top coat applications
• Mix paints, hardeners, thinners, and coatings as per specifications
• Ensure proper paint thickness, finish quality, and color matching
• Perform touch-up painting and defect correction when required
• Maintain painting booths, spray guns, compressors, and related equipment
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
• Monitor drying and curing processes
• Minimize paint wastage and maintain material efficiency
• Coordinate with quality and production teams for defect-free output
• Maintain daily production and quality records

Required Skills:Good knowledge of spray painting techniques

• Experience in automotive or industrial painting
• Knowledge of paint mixing ratios and coating materials
• Understanding of surface preparation methods
• Ability to identify paint defects like orange peel, runs, pinholes, etc.
• Familiarity with safety practices and PPE usage
• Basic machine handling and maintenance knowledge
• Qualification:ITI / Diploma / 10th / 12th pass (preferred)
• Certification in painting or industrial coating is an advantage
• Experience:2 to 5 years of experience in spray painting / gun painting
• Experience in automobile manufacturing preferred
• Motorcycle or automotive OEM experience preferred
