About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented VMC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on, fluent experience operating Vertical Machining Centers utilizing Mitsubishi control systems. You will be responsible for machine setup, establishing offsets, and ensuring continuous, high-quality output in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation: Operate and monitor VMC machinery (including equipment like the Cosmos Smartmill) to produce high-precision metal components.

Control Navigation: Navigate, program, and troubleshoot using Mitsubishi CNC control panels with high fluency.

Setup & Offsets: Independently perform complete machine setups. Accurately establish and adjust Work Offsets (G54-G59 etc.) and Tool Offsets (length, radius, and wear) for new and recurring production runs.

Production Workflow: Load raw materials, execute machining cycles, and unload finished parts efficiently to meet daily production targets.

Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measurement tools (micrometers, Vernier calipers, bore gauges) to ensure they meet strict engineering tolerances and quality standards.

Tool Maintenance: Monitor tool wear during production runs, perform tool changes as necessary, and adjust offsets to maintain part conformity.

Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Workplace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to standard industrial safety protocols.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: Proven track record working as a VMC Operator in a high-volume production or precision manufacturing environment.

Technical Fluency: Absolute proficiency with Mitsubishi CNC controls is strictly required.

Machining Knowledge: Deep understanding of speeds, feeds, tooling applications, and basic G-code/M-code editing.

Hands-on Skills: Master-level ability to take work offsets and tool offsets without supervision.

Attention to Detail: Ability to consistently hold tight tolerances on complex parts.
