Job Description
Role: Quality Engineer (Heavy Fabrication)
Company: Paalsun Engineers, Gummidipoondi
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to manage QC for our heavy fabrication shop (storage tanks, RO plants, and skids). You will ensure all production meets high-pressure industrial standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Incoming Inspection: Verify quality of raw steel plates and bought-out components.
In-Process QC: Monitor welding (MIG/TIG) and fabrication dimensions to ensure structural integrity.
Testing: Conduct pressure/leakage testing and final inspection before dispatch.
Reporting: Maintain detailed QC checklists and documentation for ISO compliance.
Floor Management: Direct fabrication teams on quality standards to minimize rework.
Requirements:
Experience: 3 years in heavy fabrication or pressure vessel manufacturing.
Skills: Proficiency in reading complex fabrication drawings and welding inspection.
Location: Must be based near/willing to work in Gummidipoondi.
Education: Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
