Role Overview
We are looking for a high‑performing Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead and expand our packaged drinking water business in Gurugram NCR.
The ideal candidate will drive sales growth, distribution expansion, team leadership, and operational excellence across the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Market Growth
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for packaged drinking water.
Expand market share across General Trade, Modern Trade, HORECA, Corporate, and Institutional segments.
Drive primary & secondary sales with strong market execution.
2. Distribution Development
Appoint and manage Super Distributors, Distributors, and Sub‑Distributors.
Ensure 100% availability across retail, wholesale, and high‑consumption zones.
Strengthen last‑mile delivery and route‑to‑market efficiency.
3. Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Sales Officers, PSRs, and Field Executives.
Conduct daily market visits, joint working, and performance reviews.
Ensure data‑driven execution and discipline in the field.
4. FOCO & CNF Operations
Run FOCO (Franchise Owned Company Operated) and CNF (Carrying & Forwarding) models efficiently.
Optimize inventory, logistics, and operational costs.
Maintain strong coordination with supply chain and warehouse teams.
5. Market Execution & Visibility
Ensure proper merchandising, branding, and display at retail outlets.
Execute promotional campaigns, sampling activities, and retailer engagement programs.
Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
6. Reporting & Analytics
Submit daily sales reports, beat plans, and performance dashboards.
Provide insights on market gaps, opportunities, and demand forecasting.
Maintain strong coordination with management for planning and execution.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 5+ years of FMCG sales experience (preferably packaged drinking water / beverages).
Strong understanding of distribution models: FOCO, CNF, Hybrid, General Trade.
Proven experience handling teams of 6+ members.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Strong network in Gurugram / Delhi NCR FMCG market.
Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistent results.
Based in NCR or willing to relocate.
