Barista

We are seeking an energetic, customer-focused Barista who takes pride in crafting high-quality beverages and creating an outstanding café experience. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine love for coffee and hospitality.

• Key ResponsibilitiesBeverage PreparationPrepare espresso-based beverages, pour-over coffee, cold brew, tea, smoothies, shakes, and other café beverages according to company recipes.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
• Calibrate grinders and monitor espresso extraction throughout the day.
• Steam milk to the correct texture and temperature.
• Maintain high standards of coffee knowledge and brewing techniques.
• Customer ServiceWelcome customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
• Recommend beverages and food items based on customer preferences.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and courteously.
• Build relationships with regular guests and create a welcoming café environment.
• Café OperationsMaintain cleanliness of coffee machines, grinders, workstations, and dining areas.
• Follow opening, closing, and shift checklists.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
• Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients using FIFO principles.
• Minimize wastage and handle products responsibly.
• Food Safety & HygieneMaintain excellent personal hygiene and grooming standards.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and hygiene standards.
• TeamworkWork closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist teammates during busy hours.
• Participate in staff training and continuous learning.
• Required SkillsKnowledge of espresso machines and coffee brewing methods.
• Understanding of milk steaming and latte art is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• QualificationsPrevious experience as a Barista is preferred.
