The role is suited for someone who is comfortable with target driven sales, student and parent conversations, lead follow-ups, counselling-style communication, and partnership-led business development.
The selected candidate will be responsible for generating, nurturing, and converting leads into paid customers for the company’s education, career development, training, assessment, and related learning products. The role requires strong communication skills, ownership, discipline in follow-ups, and the ability to understand customer needs before recommending the right solution.
This is a revenue accountable role and is best suited for candidates with prior experience in education sales, edtech sales, admissions counselling, training programme sales, course sales, inside sales, or B2C consultative sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Revenue Generation

- Convert qualified leads into paid customers for the company’s educational and edtech products.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from first contact to payment conversion.
- Conduct calls, WhatsApp follow-ups, email communication, and online or in-person conversations where required.
- Understand the customer’s goals, background, concerns, and decision-making stage before recommending suitable products.
- Handle objections related to price, relevance, timing, outcomes, and product fit.
- Meet monthly revenue, enrolment, conversion, and activity targets.
Lead Management and Follow-Up
- Follow up with leads generated through campaigns, referrals, events, communities, website enquiries, social media, and partnerships.
- Maintain an organised tracker or CRM for leads, conversations, follow-ups, and conversions.
- Ensure timely follow-up with interested prospects and avoid lead leakage.
- Segment leads based on interest level, urgency, suitability, and likelihood of conversion.
- Share regular updates on lead status, conversion progress, and pipeline quality.
Business Development and Partnerships
- Identify potential partner channels such as colleges, student communities, training institutes, coaching centres, career counsellors, alumni networks, and professional communities.
- Support outreach to institutions, communities, and partner organisations for lead generation and product promotion.
- Build relationships with relevant stakeholders who can support awareness, referrals, or customer acquisition.
- Assist in planning and executing sales-led campaigns, webinars, information sessions, events, and community activations.
- Explore new channels for generating qualified leads and improving conversion.
Customer Communication and Counselling
- Explain the company’s products clearly, professionally, and accurately.
- Communicate product benefits without overpromising outcomes.
- Guide students, graduates, parents, or professionals in understanding how the offering may support their learning, career, or development goals.
- Maintain a consultative and ethical sales approach.
- Ensure that all communication is aligned with the company’s positioning and standards.
Reporting and Coordination
- Share daily or weekly sales updates with the reporting manager.
- Report the number of calls, follow-ups, qualified leads, conversions, revenue generated, and pending opportunities.
- Coordinate with marketing, operations, product, and programme teams for customer handover and post-sale support.
- Provide market feedback on customer objections, pricing concerns, competitor activity, and product demand.
- Support internal improvements to sales scripts, follow-up templates, FAQs, and conversion workflows.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Strong spoken and written communication skills.
- Confidence in customer conversations, sales calls and follow-ups.
- Ability to explain educational products in a simple and persuasive manner.
- Target driven mindset with ownership of revenue outcomes.
- Good objection-handling and persuasion skills.
- Strong follow-up discipline and ability to manage multiple leads.
- Basic understanding of education, edtech, career development, training, or student facing products.
- Ability to work with CRM tools, spreadsheets, WhatsApp, email, and calling systems.
- Professional attitude while dealing with students, parents, institutions, and partners.
