ROLE OVERVIEW The Electrical Harness Expert (High-End Cars) is a specialised Master Technician role at Grease Monkey focused exclusively on high-end cars vehicles. This technician handles all electrical and wiring harness work on luxury and premium vehicles — BMWs, Mercedes, Audis, Porsches, and other high-end brands. These vehicles have complex multi-zone electronics, advanced driver assistance wiring, and proprietary CAN architectures that require specialist-level knowledge and tools. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Diagnose and repair complex wiring faults on luxury platforms — shorts, open circuits, and harness degradation • Work with OEM-level diagnostic tools (ISTA, XENTRY, ODIS, Techstream) for high-end brand ECU diagnostics • Perform ECU/TCU/BCM programming, coding, and variant configuration on premium vehicles • Trace and repair damaged or modified wiring harnesses with precision — no splice shortcuts • Install, calibrate, and test ADAS components — cameras, radar units, parking sensors — with proper coding • Handle retrofits and electrical upgrades on luxury vehicles — ambient lighting, dashcams, reverse cameras, sound systems • Document all wiring repairs with photos and circuit references for quality and warranty records • Coordinate with Service Advisor on realistic timelines for complex electrical jobs on high-end vehicles IDEAL CANDIDATE • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience specifically in automotive electrical work on luxury/premium brands • Proficiency with OEM diagnostic software — ISTA (BMW), XENTRY (Mercedes), ODIS (Audi/VW), or equivalent • Thorough understanding of CAN bus, LIN bus, and FlexRay communication systems • Ability to read and interpret OEM wiring diagrams and circuit schematics with confidence • Experience with ECU programming, key coding, and immobiliser systems • ITI or Diploma in Automobile/Electrical Engineering; OEM or Bosch/Delphi certification is a strong plus
