Job Description
About the Role
Pure Cake Co. is looking for a Café Assistant to handle basic food preparation and assembly for items like burgers, pizzas, fries, and pasta. This is a non-cooking role focused on assembling products using pre-prepared ingredients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble menu items such as burgers, pizzas, fries, and pasta using standard ingredients (bases, sauces, cheese, etc.)
- Follow basic portioning and presentation guidelines
- Operate simple equipment like ovens, fryers, and heating appliances
- Ensure orders are prepared quickly and consistently
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and proper storage of ingredients
- Assist in basic prep work (cutting, stocking, organizing)
- Coordinate with cashier/front desk for order flow
Requirements
- No formal chef experience required (training will be provided)
- Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene
- Ability to follow simple instructions and recipes
- Fast, efficient, and willing to learn
- Comfortable working in a small kitchen setup
