Job Description
- 🔧 Key Responsibilities🔹 Vendor Development & ManagementDevelop and manage domestic & international vendors
- Vendor evaluation, audits, and performance tracking
- Build alternate sourcing for cost and risk optimization
- 🔹 Procurement & SourcingSourcing of:
- Sheet metal & fabrication parts
- Electrical components
- Engineering & bought-out items
- Ensure material availability aligned with production plan
- 🔹 Negotiation & Cost ControlStrong negotiation with domestic & overseas suppliers
- Cost reduction and value engineering initiatives
- Finalization of rate contracts and import terms
- 🔹 Purchase OperationsPO creation, approval, and tracking
- Coordination with production, stores, and quality
- Ensure timely inward and inventory planning
- 🔹 🚚 Logistics & Supply Chain ManagementCoordination with transporters for inbound & outbound logistics
- Freight negotiation and transporter management
- Dispatch tracking and on-time delivery assurance
- Handling delays, damages, and escalations
- Documentation: LR, E-way bill, GRN coordination
- Lead time reduction and logistics optimization
- 🌍 Import Purchase & International Procurement (KEY ROLE)Handling imports of components from international suppliers
- Knowledge of:
- Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.)
- LC (Letter of Credit), advance payments
- Customs clearance process
- Coordination with CHA (Custom House Agent), freight forwarders
- Import documentation:
- Invoice, Packing List
- Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
- BOE (Bill of Entry)
- Costing of imported materials (duty, freight, landed cost)
- Ensure timely clearance and avoid demurrage
- 🔑 Required SkillsStrong negotiation & vendor management skills
- Experience in engineering procurement
- Hands-on experience in logistics coordination
- Knowledge of import procedures & documentation
- ERP / Excel proficiency
- Strong follow-up and execution ability
