Reports To: Head - Quality / Plant Head

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Executive - QMS with strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and Maruti Suzuki Vendor System Audit (VSA) requirements. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with customer-specific requirements, coordinating internal and external audits, and driving continual improvement across the organization.

Experience

Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in Automotive Manufacturing.

At least 3-5 years’ experience in QMS in an IATF 16949 certified company.

Experience in Fastener / Cold Forging / Auto Component industry will be preferred.

Hands-on experience in Maruti Suzuki VSA, customer audits, certification audits, and process compliance.

Key Responsibilities

QMS Management

Maintain and improve the Quality Management System as per IATF 16949 requirements.

Ensure all departments comply with documented procedures.

Control and maintain Quality Manuals, SOPs, Work Instructions, Formats and Records.

Maintain document revision control and document distribution.

Ensure effective implementation of Quality Policies and Objectives.

Audit Management

Plan and conduct Internal Audits as per annual audit schedule.

Coordinate Third Party Certification Audits.

Coordinate Customer Audits.

Prepare departments before audits.

Ensure timely closure of Audit Non-Conformities (NCs).

Verify effectiveness of corrective actions.

Maruti Suzuki VSA

Thorough understanding of Maruti Suzuki Vendor System Audit (VSA) requirements.

Prepare plant for VSA audits.

Conduct periodic VSA gap assessments.

Monitor compliance against VSA checklist.

Coordinate with all departments for VSA score improvement.

Ensure closure of VSA observations within timelines.

IATF 16949 Compliance

Good knowledge and implementation of:

APQP

PPAP

FMEA

Control Plan

MSA

SPC

Layered Process Audit (LPA)

Risk Management

Change Management

Product Safety

Contingency Planning

Traceability

Calibration System

Customer Specific Requirements (CSR)

Management System Activities

Organize Management Review Meetings (MRM).

Prepare KPI presentations.

Monitor Quality Objectives.

Prepare monthly QMS reports.

Maintain records for continual improvement activities.

Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / production / industrial engineering or equivalent.

Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor certification in IATF 16949 preferred.

Knowledge of Automotive Core Tools.

Experience in automotive OEM customer audits.
