Role Overview:
The Restaurant Captain is responsible for supervising front-of-house operations during service, ensuring smooth coordination between guests, service staff, and kitchen while delivering an exceptional dining experience.
- Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise service staff (stewards/servers) during shifts
- Ensure high standards of guest service, hygiene, and presentation
- Handle guest queries, feedback, and complaints efficiently
- Coordinate with kitchen for timely and accurate order delivery
- Monitor table turnover, reservations, and seating flow
- Train new staff on service standards, menu knowledge, and SOPs
- Ensure proper grooming and discipline of the service team
- Upsell menu items and drive higher average order value
- Oversee billing accuracy and closing procedures
